Welcome to My Campaign for Detroit School Board

I am a parent, and nonprofit executive that has served the Detroit community with passion and dedication for over fifteen years. I have honed my skills in organizing, establishing partnerships and networks that have increased resources and opportunities for students. 

As a candidate with a deep commitment to community service, I have a genuine desire to make the existing school system better. I have a proven track record of leadership and advocacy. I am the voice we need to ensure that students, parents, teachers and community voices are heard.  By being active in the schools, I know what it takes to make the changes needed.

My vision as a school board member is to make sure that every student receives a high-quality education with the local, state and federal funding that is received by the district.

I will work to ensure that the school board is functioning at its highest capacity.  The most important job of the school board is to improve achievement in our schools.  I support the school board implementing set standards for the performance of the Superintendent.  I will work to increase inclusivity in decision making from parents and the community.  I will make community members feel welcome to speak at meetings.
